Origins
In Sanskrit, the word mudra means "seal," "mark," or "gesture"-a fitting metaphor for a company built around authenticating identities and transactions. eMudhra was incorporated in June 2008 with a mission to accelerate the world's transition to a secure, integrated digital society founded on trusted digital identities.
Almost immediately, eMudhra partnered with government agencies to enable paperless eGovernance platforms, helping millions of citizens sign documents online for the first time.
